Justin Timberlake Shares Lyme Disease Diagnosis
Justin Timberlake recently disclosed that he has been diagnosed with Lyme disease. He made this announcement in a series of Instagram posts aimed at marking the conclusion of his “Forgotten Tomorrow” world tour.
“As many of you know, I tend to keep my life pretty private. But looking back at the tours, I feel it’s important to share a bit about what’s happening with me,” Timberlake wrote. “I’ve been facing some health challenges and was recently diagnosed with Lyme disease. I don’t want anyone to feel sorry for me; I just want to provide some insight into my struggles behind the scenes.”
He further added, “For those who understand this disease, you know it’s not an easy battle mentally or physically. I was definitely taken aback when I was diagnosed. I’m grateful that I’m feeling better now.”
Timberlake, who has been touring since April 2024, explained his decision to open up about his health: “I’ve proven my mental strength through this, and I’ve shared so many unforgettable moments with all of you. I’ve usually kept things to myself, but I think it’s important to be open about what I’ve been going through to avoid misunderstandings.”
He also expressed gratitude towards his wife, Jessica Biel, and their two children, saying, “To Jess, Cyrus, Finn… your unconditional love means everything. You are my heart and home.”
The singer has faced some criticism for his recent performances. During a festival in Romania, fans noticed he wasn’t singing much and commented online about it. Some shared their frustration, noting, “I came to a concert, not to watch a mute performer.”
In a recent social media update, Timberlake thanked his supporters and crew for their presence throughout the tour. “To everyone who has joined me on The Forget Tomorrow Tour or any of my past shows… Your energy and love keep me grounded. You’ve made my dreams a reality.”
Timberlake emphasized the unique experience of touring, saying, “It’s a lifestyle that requires special dedication. My crew has become like a family to me, and performing live is a one-of-a-kind interaction. Sharing music with you all is truly unmatched.”
