New Reality Dating Show at the US Open

Watch out for “Love Island.” There’s a new dating show on the horizon, set to debut in a few weeks.

The US Open announced on Thursday that it will create and launch a YouTube series called “Games, Sets, Matchmakers.”

This eight-episode show will be filmed during the US Open Fan Week at USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.

A tweet from the US Open describes the show, highlighting the journey of a bachelorette navigating the world of dating intertwined with tennis.

Iranasedaka, a 24-year-old former figure skater from Long Island, now a Pilates instructor in Miami, will be the show’s central single. Her matches will include a mix of influencers, tennis aficionados, and personalities from social media.

No specific male contestants have been announced yet.

Jonathan Zipper, senior director of social media at USTA, expressed his enthusiasm for the project, stating that it’s an exciting time to blend tennis with pop culture through a fun and engaging concept.

The first episode is set to premiere on the opening day of the US Open, August 24th, with the finale coinciding with the women’s final.

This initiative is a collaboration between USTA and Freshtape Media, aimed at extending the cultural reach of the tournament beyond just the matches. Alana Glenn Moritz, creative director at Freshtape Media, mentioned that they wanted to capture the vibrant energy of the event, infusing it with unexpected drama and connections.
