Drunk Passenger Causes Chaos at Buffalo Airport
In an unusual incident, a drunk passenger commandeered a golf cart at Buffalo Niagara International Airport, surprising onlookers. This occurred just before 1 a.m. on July 28 when Kevin Sinning, a 29-year-old from Wyoming, allegedly drove the cart through the terminal, colliding with various structures.
This reckless act was caught on video, where it showed him smashing through glass panels while airport staff pleaded with him to stop. The video went viral, and many witnesses remarked on his intoxicated state.
As Sinning navigated the cart, he steered it towards the upper level terminal, recklessly maneuvering around “wet floor” signs littered across the terminal. Witnesses could be heard exclaiming his erratic behavior as he continued to drive the cart along the concourse, which primarily serves Delta flights and the Niagara Frontier Transportation Agency.
“You can kind of tell something wasn’t right,” one eyewitness mentioned in a news interview, noting how he ignored pleas to halt. His disregard seemed alarming, as he continued to drive through tight spaces, causing further damage.
Officials from the Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority (NFTA) reported extensive destruction, with shattered glass and damaged equipment strewn throughout the terminal. Sinning’s antics resulted in a significant mess, leading to various criminal charges against him, including criminal mischief and grand theft.
This bizarre episode has gained attention online, reaching over 9 million views on social media platforms. As one witness put it, “I think this is a learning moment for everyone.” It’s certainly not an everyday occurrence at the airport, that’s for sure.
