Brady and the Blues at no cost

A few days after ESPN launched a documentary series about a celebrity-owned European football team, Prime Video released its own project.

This year, Tom Brady, who has won the Super Bowl five times, took a minority stake in Birmingham City FC, which competes in the English Football League system. The new Prime Video documentary, titled “Built in Birmingham: Brady and the Blues,” follows Birmingham’s journey in the 2024-25 season as Brady becomes more involved in his ownership role.

At the time of Brady’s purchase, Birmingham was struggling in League 1, but due to a strong performance, they managed to get promoted to the Championship, which is the second tier of English football, just below the Premier League.

This series tracks the Blues’ transition back to the Championship, where they’ll face Wrexham AFC, another team owned by a celebrity and known for its success story. Viewers will get an honest look at both Brady and co-owner Tom Wagner, along with the team’s dynamics.
