Nationwide Recall of Freeze Dried Fruit Variety Pack Due to Listeria Risk

Doehler Dry Ingredient Solutions, LLC has announced a nationwide recall of its “Freeze Dried Fruit Variety Pack” after detecting the presence of Listeria monocytogenes during routine internal testing. This bacteria can lead to severe health issues and is considered life-threatening.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) publicized the recall on July 31st, noting that the affected products were distributed to Sam’s Club locations in over 40 states between July 1st and July 25th, 2025.

Fortunately, there have been no reported illnesses linked to this recall so far.

Listeria monocytogenes can cause listeriosis, which is a potentially serious foodborne illness. While healthy individuals may only experience mild symptoms such as fever and gastrointestinal upset, the infection can be extremely dangerous for groups like young children, the elderly, pregnant women, and those with weakened immune systems.

According to reports, the FDA and USDA highlight the need for effective recall systems to reduce the risks of foodborne diseases and to maintain public trust in the food supply chain.

The recall specifically affects the 15-count box of Member’s Mark Freeze Dried Fruit Variety Pack, which carries the UPC code 1 93968 50900 2. The affected products have lot numbers ranging from 25175 to 25206, with “use by” dates from June 24, 2027, to July 25, 2027. Each item is individually sealed in a foil pouch and packed in a corrugated box, with lot numbers and expiration dates printed on the bottom.
