Chris Jones from the Chiefs asks for marriage during training camp

Kansas City Chiefs’ Chris Jones Opens Up at Training Camp

This week at training camp, Chris Jones, the defensive tackle for the Kansas City Chiefs, had a moment that felt surprisingly heartfelt. The Chiefs’ social media team has a tradition of engaging players with lighthearted questions as they move around the training grounds. This time, they asked, “What’s one item on your bucket list that you haven’t checked off yet?”

While other players like George Caraft mentioned wanting to visit Japan and Jacobe Covington considered skydiving, Jones had a more sentimental reply. “I just want to get married; I just want to be loved,” he shared.

This candid moment comes after a turbulent period in Jones’s personal life, as he recently ended a relationship with his ex-girlfriend, Sheena Weathersby, who publicly accused him of infidelity. They seem to have parted ways sometime between late 2024 and early 2025.

Despite the ups and downs, Jones is gearing up for his tenth season with the Chiefs—quite an impressive feat. He’s been named to the Pro Bowl multiple times, proving his worth on the field, with five sacks recorded last season.

Interestingly, while he declared himself single in January, he hasn’t publicly addressed the allegations swirling around him. It’s a complicated situation, especially since they share two children.

Life seems to be a mix of professional success and personal challenges for Jones, and it’s, perhaps, a lot for anyone to juggle. As he moves forward, it will be interesting to see how both his sporting career and personal life unfold.
