Kash Patel Criticizes 'Dishonest' Media Following Find of Hidden Burn Bags

FBI Director Kash Patel recently suggested that the media “lied” about the revelation of a significant find within classified documents concerning the alleged Trump-Russia collusion from his initial term in office.

His remarks followed reports about a “burn bag” discovered at FBI headquarters, which contained thousands of documents related to the investigations into Trump and Russia.

X Posting Saturday, the director reflected on his role as a senior adviser during Trump’s first term, stating:

In 2017/18, I demonstrated that the Steele dossier was fabricated by corrupt individuals within the FBI, misleading judges and unlawfully surveilling presidential campaign candidates.

He went on to say, “The media labeled me a liar.”

Patel further added, “Now as the FBI Director, I’ve uncovered burn bags filled with documents related to the Russian gate scandal, including the Durham annex, and have declassified them. Once again, I’m being called a liar by the same media.”

In a subsequent message, he indicated that the FBI might soon release more documents from its headquarters to clarify who is actually lying.

Reports indicate that a crucial discovery includes the “classified annex to former special counsel John Durham’s final report,” which holds key intelligence.

This finding continues a pattern of documentary disclosures suggesting a hidden agenda to undermine Trump’s presidency.

As noted by various news outlets, a recent document from the Director-General of National Intelligence revealed compelling evidence that Hillary Clinton and the Obama administration constructed a “Russian hoax” and manipulated intelligence for political ends.

Though mainstream media has largely overlooked this revelation, the documents Patel referred to are not part of a burn bag.

Regarding the FBI’s activities, it’s been reported that top intelligence and national security officials are in the process of declassifying the Durham Annex for public release, which will then be shared with Senator Chuck Grassley, the chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee.

For quite some time, Grassley has been seeking information about the Durham investigation.

Back in 2019, Attorney General William Barr initiated a probe involving Durham to investigate potential fraud by the FBI in its efforts to tie Trump’s campaign to Russia.

Durham noted in his final report in 2023 that the FBI had relied on dubious intelligence and lacked sufficient evidence to initiate a comprehensive investigation into the alleged conspiracy with Russia.
