Oasis Reacts to Tragic Incident at Wembley Stadium

Oasis released a statement following the unfortunate death of a fan during their show at Wembley Stadium.

“We are deeply shocked and saddened by the tragic loss of a fan at our performance last night,” band members Liam and Noel Gallagher expressed in a lengthy statement on Sunday.

They continued, “Oasis wishes to convey its heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of those affected.”

The incident reportedly occurred during Saturday’s concert, which had a sold-out audience.

Emergency services, including Metropolitan Police and medical personnel, responded to the scene around 10:19 PM local time after receiving reports of a man in his 40s who had fallen from a significant height.

A police spokesperson later stated that the man was pronounced dead at the scene, having sustained injuries consistent with a fall.

Authorities also noted that there were likely many witnesses to the incident, and some might have captured it on their phones, either intentionally or inadvertently.

In a statement, Wembley Stadium confirmed that both medical and police personnel were on-site to assist the individual.

Wembley also mentioned that their thoughts are with the man’s family, who are being supported by specially trained officers after being informed of the situation.

Despite the tragic event, Oasis proceeded with their scheduled concert on Sunday.

Looking ahead, the band is set to perform three shows in Edinburgh on August 8, 9, and 12.
