Rep. Jasmine Crockett Criticizes Trump at Rally
Rep. Jasmine Crockett from Texas didn’t hold back when expressing her views on former President Donald Trump during a progressive rally in Phoenix on Sunday. Speaking at MoveOn’s “Don’t Back Down Tour,” she urged Democrats to take a more assertive stance against the Trump administration, delivering some strong words about the political landscape.
“Listen, Donald Trump is part of the mess. We all know that,” she declared, which was met with cheers from the audience.
Texas Democrats Consider Tactics Amid Rezoning Issues
Crockett was joined by Senators Chris Murphy and Yasamin Ansari, who rallied voters ahead of the upcoming midterm elections. Before her remarks on Trump, she expressed confidence in the Democratic candidate’s chances in the 2028 presidential race and outlined the party’s strategy for success.
“But what do we need to do next?” she mused. “For me, it’s about getting aggressive.” She hinted at her vision for limiting the Supreme Court, calling its current state “corruption.”
She argued that the Supreme Court has contributed to many issues and emphasized the need for safeguards around its operations. “They lack ethics guidelines, and that’s troubling,” she noted. “Lower courts have some, but it seems the higher court is lacking.” She questioned the absence of self-imposed limits among Supreme Court justices.
“When we see financial ties and a clear paper trail, it raises questions. Why do they resist regulating themselves?” she asked, asserting, “That’s where we step in.” Crocett has been vocal in her criticisms of Trump recently, labeling him with some colorful language online.
The former president responded by dismissing the idea that Crockett represents the future of the Democratic Party, labeling her as having a “low IQ.”
As the ongoing tensions continue between Democrats and Trump, the White House has not yet offered a response to this latest round of criticism.
