Kelly Osbourne Reflects on Grief After Ozzy’s Passing

Kelly Osbourne has opened up about her struggle with grief after the death of her father, iconic rock star Ozzy Osbourne.

In a heartfelt message, she expressed gratitude to fans for their support following his passing at his home in the UK on July 22, when he was 76 years old. Just days later, a large turnout in Birmingham saw fans and vehicles, including a spirit hearse, pay tribute as they made their way to the Black Sabbath Bridge to honor the legendary musician.

Kelly shared, “I sat down to write this 100 times, and still I don’t know if the words will feel enough… but from the bottom of my heart, thank you. The love, support, and beautiful messages I have received have truly helped me through the most difficult moments of my life.”

She noted that sadness can be overwhelming, coming in waves, and acknowledged she wouldn’t be okay for a while. Yet, she found solace in knowing her family isn’t alone in their pain, holding onto the love and legacy left behind.

Ozzy Osbourne, known as the “Prince of Darkness,” was laid to rest shortly after his death, following a last performance with Black Sabbath. The family released a statement reflecting their sorrow, saying, “It brings more sadness than mere words to be able to tell us that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love.” They requested privacy during this difficult time.

According to reports, a more intimate funeral is planned where close family and friends will gather to celebrate his life. Sources indicated the Osbourne family appreciated the outpouring of love during this challenging time, describing their final moments with Ozzy as precious family time before they said their goodbyes.
