Flatiron Building Set to Shine Again

After years of being shrouded in soot and scaffolding, Manhattan’s famous Flatiron Building is finally ready to emerge from the shadows.

This distinctive structure was notably captured by renowned photographer Edward Steichen back in 1904.

As part of its renovation, new lighting will enhance its limestone, brick, and terracotta exterior. The project also involves installing 1,000 new windows. Studio Sofield is currently developing a new residential space for sale through the Corcoran Sunshine Group.

Once the renovation is complete, the top five floors of this iconic building will illuminate the skyline. The long-standing scaffolding that has encased it for years will come down as it reopens as a luxury condominium later this year.

The Italian Sogente Group, spearheaded by developers Jeffrey Graal and Brozky, secured the property with a significant investment of $161.5 million.
