Woody Allen Reflects on Jeffrey Epstein’s Dinner Parties

Woody Allen has described Jeffrey Epstein’s Manhattan home as reminiscent of “Castle Dracula.” In documents, it was revealed that Allen, who is 89, sent Epstein a birthday note back in 2016, and he later shared insights about attending Epstein’s elaborate dinner parties.

During a recent discussion, Allen mentioned how much he appreciated the chance to mingle with a diverse group of interesting guests at these events. He characterized them as a significant opportunity to connect with politicians, scientists, and even entertainers.

Allen noted, “My wife and I were invited to dinner there quite a few times.” He emphasized how each dinner featured a rich variety of guests, making the experience always engaging. “It was a huge mix—comedians, journalists, intellectuals, you name it.” He seemed tolike the abundance of food served, which he described as both luxurious and plentiful.

He also drew an odd comparison to, well, Dracula’s harem of vampires, hinting that the atmosphere, while seemingly inviting, had an odd quality. “The meals were served by professional waitstaff and at times young women who reminded me of that eerie vibe,” he quipped.

However, he reflected on an earlier gathering that did not hold the same allure. The first dinner they attended was less impressive, featuring what he described as a buffet with takeout Chinese food, which fell short of the expectations given the host’s reputation.

Despite the strange initial experience, Allen seemed to appreciate how the ambiance improved over subsequent visits, though he was careful not to overly praise Epstein. “Eventually, flowers made their way to the table, giving it more of a warm appeal,” he observed.

Interestingly enough, Allen’s relationship with his wife, Soon-Yi Previn, has often garnered attention as they met while he was involved with her adoptive mother, Mia Farrow. Allen has faced serious allegations of abuse from his adopted daughter, Dylan Farrow, which he has strongly denied.

Epstein’s life came to an abrupt end in 2019 in a Manhattan prison cell, where he was awaiting trial on federal sex trafficking charges. He had previously pleaded guilty to lesser charges in a Florida case and served a short sentence.

His accomplice, Ghislaine Maxwell, is presently serving a 20-year sentence for her role in the crimes. She has recently been moved to a minimum-security facility in Texas, which houses non-violent offenders.

In light of ongoing legal matters, Maxwell’s team is seeking to block the release of sensitive court documents that involve her case, indicating an alliance between her defense strategies and broader legal challenges. Meanwhile, discussions surrounding high-profile connections to Epstein, including those with former President Donald Trump, continue amidst mounting public interest.
