Trump Critiques Democrats in Recent Interview

In a recent conversation, former President Donald Trump took aim at the Democrats, describing the party as “lost” and “self-destructing.” He humorously suggested a familial connection between Texas Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett and the legendary Davy Crockett.

During his chat on CNBC, Trump labeled Crockett (D-Texas) as a “very low IQ person.” This remark followed her prior comment at a rally where she referred to Trump using very strong language.

“Listen, Donald Trump is a piece of s***. OK, we know that,” Crockett stated at her rally on Sunday.

At that event, Crockett emphasized the need for Democrats to be more “aggressive” in their approach to Trump’s potential return to the presidency.

“What are we going to need to do then? For me, it’s getting aggressive.”

Crockett, who frequently expresses her criticism of Trump, previously argued that opposing him should not be a partisan issue. In June, she lamented having to consider past presidents like George Bush as preferable alternatives.

“This is not partisan for me. I would give anything to have—sad to say—George Bush. Like, any regular Republican nowadays, and I would be happy.”

During the CNBC interview, Trump continued to react to Crockett’s remarks, asserting that he had “won the election in a landslide.” He also noted that his current poll numbers surpass those from the election period, attributing part of his popularity to the Democrats’ turmoil.

“And obviously that’s only, you know, we’re only six months in, but my poll numbers are better now, much better than during the election. Part of that is because the Democrat Party is self-destructing… I wonder if she’s any relation to the late, great Davy Crockett,” he commented.

“But you have this woman, Crockett, she’s a very low IQ person. Somebody said the other day she’s one of the leaders of the party. I said, you’ve got to be kidding. The Democrats are lost…,” he added.

Trump also discussed recent achievements, touting the financial success that the federal government has experienced due to new trade agreements and tariffs.

“One year ago, our country was dead. Now we have the hottest economy anywhere in the world by far… Today, we’re the hottest country anywhere in the world. And I’m very happy to help,” he concluded.
