Paige Spiranac explains why she doesn’t share her dating life on social media.

Paige Spiranac is pretty candid, but there’s one part of her life that she tends to keep under wraps.

During an Instagram Q&A on Tuesday, the famous golf influencer was asked why she maintains privacy in her life and mentioned her past marriage to athletic trainer Steven Tinoco.

“I got married young,” Spiranac shared via her Instagram story. “When that didn’t work out, I made the decision not to share my personal life online anymore. Even after all these years, the amount of messages I receive about my previous relationship is, frankly, a bit overwhelming.”

Spiranac, who is 32, tied the knot with Tinoco in 2018.

Four years later, she acknowledged in another Q&A that they were indeed “not married anymore.”

For her, shielding her personal life is about maintaining her peace. “It’s really for my mental well-being and sanity,” she explained. “I share a lot about myself and I’m very open. I just want to keep a portion of my life to myself. That’s the choice I’ve made.”

She’s expressed similar thoughts before, mentioning that public relationships often invite scrutiny from others.

“Having a public relationship is really tough; once you make it public, people feel entitled to ask questions,” she stated in 2022. “If I post about it and then break up, I have essentially aired my relationship and feel obligated to explain it to everyone.”

In addition to addressing her personal life, Spiranac talked about her career during the Q&A. She shared insights from her recent role in the sequel to “Happy Gilmore,” which just premiered on Netflix.

“Filming with Adam Sandler was amazing. He’s genuinely one of the most authentic and kind-hearted people you could meet,” she said, reflecting on her experience.

In the comedy, Spiranac plays a character in a sports goods store who assists Sandler’s character in a golf simulator.

She was present for the film’s New York premiere last month.
