Heidi Klum Opens Up About Health Routine
Heidi Klum is taking control of her health in an interesting way. In a recent chat with the Wall Street Journal, the 52-year-old supermodel shared her new health journey with her husband, Tom Kauritz. They’re both looking into cleansing their bodies of worms and parasites.
“I’m starting my first deworming and hair removal,” she said. “What you might see on my Instagram lately is all about worms and parasites. Apparently, it’s good to do this cleansing thing once a year.”
She went on to explain, “If you enjoy raw foods like sushi sometimes, this is something you might want to consider. Apparently, there’s a whole range of herbs that help with this. Cloves are a big one—parasites supposedly can’t stand them. Papaya seeds are also important. Plus, I think we’ve got all this metal in our systems, so using a detoxifying approach is crucial.”
Klum mentioned that this cleansing process takes a few months. “It’s kind of like everything else in life,” she added, almost philosophically.
According to information from Mayo Clinic, parasitic infections can be tricky because they often don’t show symptoms, but they can lead to complications like diarrhea and malnutrition.
The aim of these cleansings is to tackle potential parasite infections without resorting to over-the-counter or prescription medications. However, it’s worth noting that there’s limited research supporting the effectiveness of such purges.
Interestingly, Klum is not alone in this health crusade. Brandi Granville, a familiar face from “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” is also battling what she believes to be parasitic infections. Recently, she ended up in the hospital after attempting to treat her own condition at home.
Granville took to social media, sharing that she tried applying a hair removal product to her face, convinced it would help with what she suspects are parasites. She made light of the situation, saying, “I know I look attractive,” all while documenting her experience.
In her video, Granville’s face appeared red and irritated, highlighting the less-than-ideal results of her experiment. “I thought applying this would help,” she explained, though it seemed more like a desperate attempt than a solution.
She had started feeling unwell after a trip to Africa and faced various symptoms, leading to concerns about her overall health. A doctor mentioned that the issues might relate to a parasite, but nothing is certain.
It’s a strange intersection of wellness trends and celebrity culture, making one wonder about how far people will go to feel better or just be healthier. It’s not a straightforward path, that’s for sure.
