Hunter Biden reveals new position with California nonprofit advocating for undocumented tenants

Hunter Biden Collaborating with Tenant Rights Group

Hunter Biden, son of former President Joe Biden, has announced his engagement with a nonprofit organization in Los Angeles called the Homelessness Prevention and Tenant Rights Group. This initiative aims to aid low-income tenants who are facing eviction and other challenges related to illegal detentions.

He is working alongside Busta Universal, Inc., which focuses on defending tenants’ rights. Biden explained that his role involves not just legal representation but also educating individuals on various tenant rights issues, particularly around eviction.

“At Busta Universal, we are a collective of lawyers dedicated to assisting low-income tenants, particularly those lacking substantial public relations experience,” Biden mentioned. “When the opportunity arose for me to connect and contribute to my local community, I jumped at the chance.”

In a recent interview with journalist Andrew Callahan, Biden spoke candidly about his new position.

“I feel I have the chance to make a difference—not in some dramatic sense, but because there’s a lot of need out there,” he stated. “Right now, I’m the head of development at Busta.”

He emphasized that his new organization is distinctive, claiming it is the only one in Southern California that represents undocumented individuals without relying on federal funding.

“This isn’t just about helping immigrants from El Salvador; it includes Ukrainians and others affected by crises. The challenges in finding stable employment due to fears surrounding enforcement actions make it incredibly hard. Families are impacted deeply. If we can keep someone in their home, we can prevent homelessness, which seriously disrupts a child’s potential for stability,” Biden articulated.

Bryan Sullivan, a co-founder of Basta Inc., notably represented Biden in various legal matters in the past. He expressed confidence in Biden’s qualifications for this new role, arguing that his skills and dedication make him a valuable asset to the organization.

“Busta Universal is just starting out, and having Biden onboard could help raise awareness on tenant rights,” Sullivan commented. “People might have mixed feelings about Biden, but that shouldn’t overshadow the good work being done here.”
