On Wednesday, while at training camp, a video surfaced capturing Panthers cornerback Jaycee Horn’s car accident.
The well-known Instagram account @CharlottedAshcam posted footage of Horn’s vehicle, which TMZ identified as a black Mercedes Maybach SUV, colliding with a truck at an intersection.
It’s hard to determine who’s liable, as the pickup truck seems to be in the process of turning during the incident.
The vehicle involved in the collision appeared to be slightly askew after the accident.
The caption accompanying the video noted that “Two people ran the light and caused a crash involving three cars. A poor 4Runner was just waiting to turn.”
Fortunately, Horn, age 25, stated he came out of it with no serious injuries.
In a post on X, he expressed, “I’m good! Thanks for the concern.”
After the crash, the Panthers reported that Horn would not take part in practice that day, while the medical staff evaluated him.
According to the team, he was alone in his vehicle at the time, and all individuals involved in the incident were advised to seek medical attention.
The accident took place close to the Bank of America Stadium, home to the Panthers.
Horn is preparing for his fifth season in the NFL after being drafted eighth overall by the Panthers in 2021.
He achieved his first Pro Bowl selection in 2024, with 13 pass deflections and one interception over 15 games.
Over his career, Horn has recorded five interceptions across 37 games, though injuries limited him to three games in 2021 and six games in 2023.
Despite these injury challenges, the Panthers secured Horn with a lucrative four-year, $100 million contract in March.
Other standout cornerbacks, Derek Stingley from the Texans and Sauce Gardner from the Jets, are also in the spotlight this season.
