Biden Associate Acknowledges Team Avoided Cognitive Test Due to Political Concerns

Admission on Cognitive Test Refusal

Anita Dunn, a former senior adviser to President Joe Biden, reportedly disclosed that Biden’s close team had opted against participating in a cognitive test.

During a testimony before the House Oversight Committee, a witness named Dan stated that the refusal was due to the absence of any political benefit, as reported by sources.

In a leaked statement to the media, Biden insisted he remains actively engaged in his responsibilities. “I am fully involved in my interactions with him,” Dunn was quoted saying.

A spokesperson for the committee suggested that it wasn’t surprising Dunn is asking people to disregard what they see. They remarked on Biden’s strong assertion of being “fully involved.”

In Dunn’s opening statement, which was leaked ahead of time, she criticized the extent to which supporters of Biden go to defend his presidency. She claimed Biden was physically aging but still very much engaged with key matters. “His cognitive abilities and decision-making remained intact during my tenure at the White House,” she noted.

Dan further highlighted that the former president’s team avoided interviews during major events like the Super Bowl in light of information surfaced in a DOJ report in February 2024.

“We never saw White House staff making crucial decisions without President Biden’s knowledge or consent,” stated Dunn. She emphasized that Biden made it clear decisions were ultimately his, and his staff would bring issues forward for his consideration.

“I think he’s an effective leader who has done significant work for Americans,” Dunn added, expressing her strong belief in Biden’s capabilities.

Dunn, who has been associated with Biden since the 1980s, claimed she was unaware of any cognitive issues until they were reported by the media in 2020. Previously, she served as a Senior Advisor for the Biden-Harris Campaign, focusing on messaging and strategy.

Moreover, Dunn had also been a senior campaign adviser for President Obama and played a key role in shaping the messaging during his early administration.

Finally, former Biden adviser Bruce Reid noted in his testimony that any perceived debate struggles were attributable to different factors, not cognitive decline. Other senior aides, including Stee Blichetti and Mike Donilon, also provided testimony recently, contributing to the ongoing discussions surrounding Biden’s presidency.
