Cowboys’ Sea Deeram in Action During Preseason Game
In the Dallas Cowboys’ first preseason matchup against the Los Angeles Rams in 2025, star player Sea Deeram made his presence known, even while on the sidelines.
During the game, Deeram showed his enthusiasm by celebrating wide receiver Jonathan Mingo’s impressive plays. He cheered him on, perhaps getting a bit too excited as he inadvertently interfered with the game by stepping into a restricted area. The sideline officials, caught off guard by the incident, had no choice but to flag him.
“It’s sideline interference,” explained the officiating crew. “Deeram was in a prohibited area, and the crew was focused on the game. With that contact, it’s an automatic foul,” a referee noted. It’s interesting because neither the player nor the officials anticipated the collision, and luckily, both were uninjured.
The game wrapped up with the Rams winning 31-21. Quarterback Stetson Bennett IV shone with 188 passing yards and two touchdowns, while Blake Colm added two rushing touchdowns of his own. For the Cowboys, quarterback Joe Milton III managed 143 yards along with one touchdown pass, and Will Greer contributed with a rushing touchdown.
It’s worth mentioning that Deeram, as the team’s top receiver, might see limited preseason action moving forward, but his presence is definitely felt. He made the Pro Bowl in 2024, highlighting a solid season with 101 catches, 1,194 receiving yards, and six touchdown receptions.
Overall, even with the hiccup on the sidelines, Deeram’s involvement—and that of the Cowboys—remains crucial as the team gears up for the regular season.
