Seventh Arrest Made in Cincinnati Assault Case
The latest suspect in a violent incident in Cincinnati has been apprehended. On Monday afternoon, Gregory Wright, 32, was taken into custody, facing charges related to aggravated riots and assault following a brutal attack that occurred in late July, which left six individuals injured.
Wright’s arrest marks him as the seventh individual linked to this case. Reports indicate he was booked at around 4:30 PM and is set to appear in court at 9 AM on Tuesday.
According to allegations, Wright forcibly removed a necklace from a victim while also recording the assault. This incident unfolded on July 26 at the intersection of Fourth and Elm Streets, and it drew significant media attention when footage of the attack circulated online.
Prior to Wright’s arrest, six others had already been charged in connection with the case. These individuals—including Patrick Rosemond, Jermaine Matthews, and Aisha Devaughn—face multiple felony counts related to their involvement in the attack.
The shocking nature of the incident has left community members on edge, raising concerns about safety in the area. Hamilton County Prosecutor Connie Pilic commented on the situation, expressing disappointment and emphasizing the need for accountability among those involved.
As of now, both the Cincinnati Police Department and the Hamilton County Prosecutor’s Office have yet to respond to inquiries about the ongoing case.
