Maluma Interrupts Concert to Address Mother with Baby

This past weekend, Maluma halted a concert in Mexico City to address a mother who had brought her baby to the show without any ear protection. The Colombian rapper, Jose Luis Rondoño, was in the midst of performing when he spotted them in the audience.

He paused the music to address what he called the “irresponsible” decision. A video shared on TikTok shows Maluma engaging with the crowd after overhearing the mother being asked how old her baby was.

“Do you really think it’s wise to take a one-year-old to a concert this loud? The baby doesn’t even know what’s happening here,” he remarked, clearly frustrated.

“Next time, perhaps, you might want to protect their ears. Seriously, it’s quite loud. This is on you,” he continued.

As a father himself, Maluma emphasized during his interaction that he personally wouldn’t expose his own daughter to such an environment. “You’re treating them like toys. That baby doesn’t actually want to be here, I assure you,” he added, speaking with sincerity.

Fans took to the comments section on TikTok to share their thoughts on Maluma’s reaction. One remarked, “I respect this because some people just don’t get it until they face embarrassment. Anything could happen at a concert, especially without ear protection for the baby.” Another pointed out the absurdity of taking a baby to such a venue, stating, “If you have a baby, and there’s no one else to take care of them, then maybe just don’t go.”

However, not everyone was supportive of Maluma’s direct approach. Some commenters suggested that he could have worded his concerns differently and questioned whether it was necessary to call out the mother in front of a large audience. One user commented, “Even if you’re correct, I just don’t think it’s fair to confront a parent like that in front of thousands.”
