Model’s Journey Through Multiple Butt Lift Surgeries

You know that saying, “Beauty is pain”? Well, it seems to hold a lot of truth for model Alana Pau.

Once a flight attendant, Pau is no stranger to cosmetic procedures. At just 22, she’s already spent over $50,000 on various surgeries, particularly focused on undergoing the much-discussed Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL). This marks not one, not two, but a third attempt at the same procedure.

The recovery process has been far from easy. She shared that the first two surgeries didn’t go as planned. “I couldn’t sit at all, so I had to lie flat for six weeks,” Pau recounted, clearly still impacted by the discomfort.

When she had the first surgery, Pau was back working as a flight attendant shortly after. She vividly described the struggle of enduring immense pain while handling her duties. “During takeoff, I sat on this BBL cushion, and honestly, it was unbearable.”

She added, “I had to wear compression garments under my uniform for an entire six weeks.”

Pau flew more than 6,400 miles to Türkiye for her initial BBL. She went for a second procedure for the same price. Interestingly, the surgeon offered a 2-for-1 deal and even included a free nose job. But despite these enticing offers, Pau found herself needing yet another BBL to fix the issues caused by the first two attempts.

She admitted, “The first doctor took too much fat from my lower thighs, leaving them looking uneven. It’s been a source of anxiety for me ever since.”

Moving forward, she’s looking at a new approach. Instead of heading back to Türkiye, she plans to meet with an Australian surgeon. This next surgery is going to cost over $26,000, but Pau is determined. “I’ve learned a lot from the first two,” she said with a hint of optimism. “I’m really excited about this third BBL. They were just lessons for me.”

Pau’s journey is not unique in the world of cosmetic surgery. There are countless stories of other women facing their own challenges along the way. For instance, a woman who traveled to the Caribbean for butt implants shared a particularly alarming experience. “When I got back from [the DR], I went to the gym and suddenly, I felt something was off. My implants were…well, not where they should be,” she recounted, bringing attention to the risks often involved.

Ultimately, these stories highlight the complexities and risks associated with cosmetic enhancements—something Pau knows all too well.
