Tulsi Gabbard reveals a declassified document linking James Clapper to Russiagate

Email from James Clapper Exposes Details of Russiagate Investigation

In December 2016, just two months after Donald Trump’s election victory, James Clapper, then the Director of National Intelligence, sent an email regarding an investigation into Russian interference—a detail that largely remained under wraps until recently.

Tulsi Gabbard, the current DNI, has brought this email to light, asserting that it reveals key aspects of the Russiagate scandal and could form the basis for legal actions against individuals from the Obama administration who were allegedly involved.

Gabbard stated, “The decision to compromise standards and violate protocols in the creation of the 2017 manufactured intelligence assessment was intentional and came from the top.” This statement seems pretty loaded, highlighting the seriousness of the claims being made.

According to Gabbard, the classified email shows that Clapper had requested the intelligence community (IC) to align with the narrative of the purported Russian hoax at the behest of President Obama.

Clapper had referred to the endeavor as “team sports,” suggesting a need to compromise with “normal modality.” This was expressed in response to Mike Rogers, who was then the director of the National Security Agency. Rogers had voiced concerns about the NSA’s lack of adequate access to underlying intelligence and mentioned his team’s discomfort in asserting confidence in their findings due to insufficient time for thorough validation.

Gabbard described the principal actors in the Russian controversy as having deceived the American public by passing off politically driven, fabricated assessments as credible intelligence. In a press release, she reiterated her points, stressing that the latest email only reinforces what she argues has already been uncovered about the violation of established protocols regarding intelligence assessments.

When approached for comments, Clapper has yet to respond to requests from various media outlets.
