The Farewell is Approaching

Sophie Turner recently shared a rather amusing story about how she inadvertently got tangled up in a celebrity breakup after a San Diego Comic-Con afterparty a few years ago.

The 29-year-old actress recounted this wild night during an appearance on “Late Night with Seth Meyers.” She described how things “went really south” after a childhood friend made a request for help.

Turner explained, “She saw this actor,” a reference from her time on “Game of Thrones.” When her friend waved to a man in the crowd, she simply responded with a wave of her own.

Looking back, Turner noted, “That’s all,” which she insisted was quite innocent. Later, she noticed a well-known actress looking her way, prompting her to feel compelled to express her admiration. “I have to tell her how much she means to me,” she recounted.

The story took an interesting turn when, after waving, an unidentified A-list actress approached her with a playful yet pointed remark: “Can you stop flirting with my fiancé?”

Turner, puzzled, asked who the female partner was, only to learn that the woman had been waving to the man Turner had greeted. “I don’t know who this guy is,” she said, humorously reflecting on how “they broke their engagement for me that night. I didn’t realize I had this power.”

While she appreciated the humorous incident, Turner declined to share the couple’s names, citing a desire to avoid “getting into trouble.”

In the same interview, the “Staircase” actress mentioned the “awkward” experience of kissing her former on-screen brother, Kit Harrington, in the upcoming movie “The Dreadful.” She even claimed that these scenes were more uncomfortable than working with cockroaches and mice in her recent project, “Trust.”

Reflecting on her career, she described it as a “really bad moment.” On a more personal note, Turner is currently dating Peregrine “Perry” Pearson since her split with Joe Jonas, with whom she co-parents their daughters, Willa, 5, and Delphine, 3.
