Jared Goff shared that his phone was buzzing incessantly after Taylor Swift mentioned him during a memorable episode of the “New Heights” podcast. This all happened on a Wednesday, and it definitely created quite a stir.
Swift, at 35, confessed that she didn’t really grasp the ins and outs of football until she started dating Travis Kelce in 2023, where she referenced both Goff and Josh Allen of the Bills.
When asked about it, Goff, glancing at his phone, remarked on the “crazy few hours” that followed.
“It’s pretty wild, right?” he smiled. “I think it’s really cool. Just a hectic time for my phone. I was like, ‘Oh, wow.’”
Swift went on to announce her new album, titled “The Life of a Showgirl,” set to release on October 3. She noted that Kelce wasn’t too familiar with sports until she came into his life.
She humorously shared a misconception: “I thought everyone was on the field at the same time. I thought Jared Goff was over here and Josh Allen was over there. And then the referee goes, ‘Are you going to play?’ and it was like, who’s going to win?”

Jason laughed, saying, “Hey, I want to see Jared Goff on defense. Let’s put him out there.”
Swift quickly chimed in, admitting she’s gotten quite famous in the football circle.
Reflecting on her feelings about the game, she confessed, “I didn’t know what a first down was or what the chain meant, or even who the tight end was. But I really fell for it—I got hooked.”
She also expressed admiration for the NFL players, recognizing the immense pressure they face.
After making her first appearance at a Chiefs game in September 2023, Swift has been actively supporting Kansas City ever since, both at home and away games over the past two seasons.
As for Kelce, now in his 13th season with the Chiefs, he will soon head to Brazil for the opening game against the Chargers on September 5.
The Chiefs are set to face off against Goff and the Lions on “Sunday Night Football” on October 12, which should be an exciting matchup.
