Kansas City Chiefs’ Owner Celebrates Unprecedented Growth in Fanbase

Clark Hunt, the owner of the Kansas City Chiefs, has plenty of reasons to celebrate these days. Not only has he helped build a highly successful NFL dynasty, but he’s also seen a remarkable increase in the Chiefs’ fanbase.

One key factor? The relationship between Chiefs star Travis Kelce and international pop icon Taylor Swift. Recently, Hunt acknowledged the growth of female fans at a Chiefs event. He noted that in the past two seasons, the team has attracted more women than many other NFL teams.

“It’s been quite a whirlwind for the organization since Taylor literally stepped into our lives,” Hunt remarked. “Her presence has significantly increased our female fanbase. We had about a 50-50 male-female ratio before, but now around 57% of our fans are women. So yeah, there’s definitely been a Taylor Swift effect.”

Ever since Kelce began dating Swift, the so-called “Swift effect” has been noticeable. Hunt expressed his happiness for the couple and mentioned how wonderful it was to see them openly discussing their relationship on a podcast.

“First of all, we’re thrilled about their relationship,” he said. “They really seem like a great couple, and it was just amazing to see them chatting about their lives together on that show.”

In a personal note, Hunt also shared that his daughters are excited about Swift’s involvement with the team. “They couldn’t be happier that we have her as part of the Chiefs Kingdom now,” he said, reflecting a lighthearted family connection to the buzz surrounding the relationship.
