Battle of San Francisco City for the W-row Notch
The anticipation for the matchup between the San Francisco 49ers and Las Vegas Raiders is building.
Set for Saturday, August 16th, at 4 PM Eastern Time, the 0-1 49ers will face the 0-0-1 Raiders at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
Last week, 49ers’ backup quarterback Mac Jones had a rough outing, completing four out of seven passes for 74 yards before getting intercepted in a 30-9 loss to the Broncos. Meanwhile, Corey Kinner managed to rush for 45 yards on ten attempts.
On the other hand, the Raiders, guided by Pete Carroll, made quite an entrance into their season. They tied with the Seahawks 23-23, and Geno Smith, their new starting quarterback, had an interesting interaction with fans. There was a sign that read “Biger Bust – Geno or Jamal Cas Russell,” which stirred some chatter.
In terms of performance, Aidan O’Connell led the Raiders, completing 18 of 30 passes, including a touchdown throw. Shedrick Jackson was particularly impressive, catching four passes for a total of 76 yards and a touchdown.
