Trump’s Push to Eliminate Mail-in Voting

Former President Donald Trump has announced his intention to spearhead efforts aimed at abolishing mail-in voting as well as the use of voting machines in U.S. elections. In a lengthy social media post on Monday, he stated, “I am leading the move to get rid of mail-in votes.”

Trump plans to sign an executive order before the midterm elections in 2026. He emphasized, “Remember, states must understand that the federal government plays a role in counting votes. They need to act in accordance with the interests of our nation, as represented by the President.”

During his post, he asserted that mail-in voting is essential for maintaining a level playing field in elections. He and the Republican Party are committed to restoring what they view as election integrity.

“Elections can never be truly honest with mail-in voting, and everyone, particularly Democrats, knows this. The Republicans and I will work relentlessly to bring back integrity to our elections,” he remarked.

He elaborated, “When elections are fair and honest with strong safeguards, disparities diminish. Thank you for engaging with this crucial issue!”

Support for Trump’s initiative has come from GOP Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene, who has publicly backed his stance against mail-in voting. “I strongly support President Trump in his efforts to end mail-in voting! Elections have been compromised for years through this method, which is susceptible to fraud. Let’s save America by saving our elections!” she tweeted.
