Attorney General’s Warning on Immigration Policies
Attorney General Pam Bondi made an appearance on Fox Business on Monday, emphasizing to local and state officials that compliance with federal immigration policies is no longer optional—it’s mandatory.
She took swift action by ending the status of Sanctuary City in Washington, D.C., and assumed control of the metropolitan police force to address violent crimes and restore order. During a segment on “Kudlow,” Bondi revealed that she had sent out 32 warning letters to mayors and seven governors nationwide, cautioning them to adhere to federal guidelines or face serious consequences.
“Last week, I reached out with 32 letters to mayors across the country, and to the seven governors as well, telling them they need to comply or they will face repercussions,” Bondi stated. “If they choose not to cooperate, Larry, we’ll work with other agencies to cut off federal funds. We may deploy law enforcement similar to how we did during the LA riots, as we are prepared to do here in Washington, D.C.,” she explained.
Bondi reiterated President Donald Trump’s directive to restore law and order. “If they can’t ensure the safety of their citizens, then Donald Trump will ensure that safety. That’s the focus—make America safe again. It’s the only directive we have, and it’s what we’re working on,” she continued.
In a recent incident, Trump suffered injuries last Monday after federal surveillance was placed on Washington police, following a confrontation involving Edward “Big Ball” Coristine, a government employee who intervened during a car theft. While Democrats argue that violent crime has dropped by about a third, reports indicate that police data overlooks aggravated felonies and serious assaults classified as violent crimes under the DC Act.
Additionally, on June 30, a gunman shot and killed Republican Kansas Rep. Ron Estes’ intern near the White House, and in May, pro-Hamas activists killed two staff members from the Israeli embassy during an event at the Capital Jewish Museum.
