New Co-Director for the FBI Announced

Attorney General Pam Bondy, alongside FBI Director Kash Patel, has revealed that Andrew Bailey, the Republican Attorney General of Missouri, will take on the role of co-director for the FBI, sharing responsibilities with Dan Bongino.

Bailey’s term as Attorney General is set to conclude on September 8, at which point he will officially step into his new role.

“I am incredibly thankful for the chance to serve as co-director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation,” Bailey stated. He expressed his appreciation to President Trump and the U.S. Attorney General, emphasizing his commitment to their mission of enhancing safety in America.

“My life has been about serving, and now I am answering that call again on a national stage,” he added.

Bailey, a veteran of the Army, has held the position of Missouri’s attorney general for almost two and a half years. While in this role, he often challenged the policies of President Biden, filing lawsuits on various issues.

One significant case involved the “Save” plan, a repayment initiative, which Bailey argued would impose a $475 billion cost on Americans and was unconstitutional. A federal court agreed, blocking the plan, with the Supreme Court affirming this decision in June.

Additionally, he took issue with the Biden administration’s parole regulations.

Another important focus for the new co-director will involve addressing approximately 1,100 reported human trafficking cases in Missouri. This led him to initiate an anti-human trafficking task force aimed at enhancing the processing of forensic evidence kits and boosting prosecution rates for sexual assault cases.

Bailey’s legal background and investigative skills have not only demonstrated his loyalty to the party but also highlighted his commitment to supporting victims of sexual assault, which may have bolstered his promotion within the FBI.

“We are thrilled to have Andrew Bailey join us as co-director at the FBI,” Bondy remarked. “He is a respected state attorney general and a decorated war veteran, bringing invaluable expertise and dedication to his role.”

Patel emphasized the importance of the FBI, noting its status as the leading federal investigative body, dedicated to hiring top talent to fulfill its mission.

Since Patel assumed leadership, the FBI has made significant progress in combatting violent crime and human trafficking, particularly concerning children. Within the first 200 days of President Trump’s second term, over 1,600 individuals involved in violent crimes were apprehended, including 270 linked to human trafficking.

“The Patel-led FBI has rescued 4,000 child victims, marking a 33% increase this year, and seized substantial quantities of fentanyl and methamphetamine,” it has been reported.
