Prince William “Reluctant” to Reconcile with Prince Harry Due to Meghan Markle

Prince William is reportedly hesitant to mend fences with Prince Harry, and it seems Meghan Markle is a key factor in this ongoing family rift.

According to royal expert Hilary Fordwich, the Duke of Sussex’s family continues to harbor a “lasting lack of trust” for his wife. Speaking with Fox News Digital, she expressed that their concerns are quite justified. “Family discussions might be exposed or used for commercial reasons,” she added.

Fordwich noted that Markle, now 44, appears to have little sense of duty towards British citizens or traditions. She further stated that Harry feels William has “humiliated Meghan,” which complicates any chance of reconciliation. As a result, Fordwich hasn’t observed any signs of reconciliation between the brothers in the near future.

Ingrid Seward, editor-in-chief of Majesty Magazine, echoed these sentiments by describing Markle as a “flea in the ointment” of the brothers’ strained relationship.

Seward also criticized Markle for her role in the difficult feelings that have emerged between King Charles III and Harry, the son of the late Princess Diana. “Many monarchists in this country have a deep dislike for her. They believe she’s causing significant harm to the royal family,” Seward asserted.

She further pointed out what she sees as significant flaws in Markle’s character, including her history of disparaging both her husband’s family and her own.

Additionally, Seward noted that Harry’s wife and their two children, Archie, six, and Lilibet, four, have not had the opportunity to meet Harry’s estranged father, Thomas Markle. Seward remarked that while Markle could choose to accept her family, her feelings about them seem to complicate matters.

Representatives for Markle, Harry, and William did not immediately respond to requests for comments.

Since Harry and Markle stepped back from their royal duties in 2020, the brothers have been estranged. The couple now resides in Montecito, California, and have publicly shared their experiences through interviews and documentaries, including Harry’s memoir, “Spare.”

In a statement this past May, Harry expressed a desire for reconciliation, indicating that his family dynamics are challenging. However, he acknowledged that it might not always be possible to mend those relationships.
