Reports indicate that a well-loved hairstylist from Newsmax was fatally shot by his own son. In a desperate attempt to prevent this tragedy, the stylist had rushed to assist his son during a mental health crisis just hours prior.
Travis Lenny Baldwin, 57, left his Arlington, Virginia apartment at around 3:20 a.m. on Sunday, in a frantic effort to help his son, Logan Klingerter, as per sources.
According to the family, Klingerter had previously threatened to harm both himself and his mother. During a FaceTime call, he brandished a gun and made alarming threats, prompting his devoted mother to travel to his aid.
The 27-year-old had been grappling with significant mental health challenges, which had worsened after he lost his job, as reported. Hours later, Klingerter seemed to continue these concerning threats.
Following the incident, Baldwin was rushed to the hospital but sadly succumbed to her injuries. Klingerter remained at the scene and was subsequently taken into custody.
He faces severe charges including first-degree murder, malicious injuries, and unlawful use of a firearm in connection with the incident.
Baldwin had built a notable career as a hair and makeup artist, having worked with major networks like ABC and ESPN, as well as recently, Newsmax.
“The Quiet Warrior” is how her colleagues described her, expressing shock and sorrow over the loss of their talented peer.
Greta Van Susteren shared her grief, recalling how Baldwin had done her makeup just days before the tragic event, fully unaware it would be their last encounter.
Newsmax producer Maricera Ramirez also remembered Baldwin fondly, highlighting her nurturing spirit and quiet strength in supporting her family.
