Massive Revival Event Draws Attention in Arkansas

This month, a church outreach in Arkansas attracted a remarkable crowd of 45,000 people. Evangelist Nick Hall, founder of the Pulse movement, led the event known as the Amplify Festival Outreach in Benton, from August 8th to 9th. The festival included training for 22,000 attendees in missionary education, and 1,226 individuals responded to the gospel. Notable music performers at the event featured artists like Maverick City Music and Matthew West.

This year marked the 14th edition of the Amplify Festival, making it one of the event’s biggest gatherings to date.

“This is the revival generation,” Hall stated. “They haven’t just quietly disappeared—they’re back and louder than ever, filled with passion. They want to amplify their hopes in Jesus. What I saw in Arkansas was incredible; we had people from over 30 states and a significant number of young people, especially from Gen Z. There’s a fire, and it’s spreading.”

Supporting Hall’s observations, recent research from Barna revealed a rise in belief among Gen Z and Millennials, particularly among men—67% of Gen Z men and 71% of Millennial men indicated belief in Jesus. The numbers for women are slightly lower, yet still notable, with 61% and 64% respectively. Overall, beliefs have increased since the pandemic.

“Youth, especially men, are leading the shift toward faith,” noted Barna’s analysis.

Additionally, a report from the American Bible Society highlighted a similar increase in Bible usage among younger demographics.

Hall noted that many young people are exploring faith more deeply, particularly following the pandemic. “It forced people to acknowledge where real strength and love come from. This generation is turning back to their ancient faith and fighting for it,” he said. “They see Jesus as more than a historical figure; he changed everything.”

“Young people are not looking for a ‘safe’ version of religion,” Hall added. “They desire something wild, a genuine revolution, and Jesus embodies that revolutionary spirit.”

Hall encouraged the Christian community to embrace this moment. “When God is moving, we need to be ready to go with it,” he said.
