Dennis Richards Opens Up About Split from Aaron Phipers

Dennis Richards is stepping out from behind the Hollywood curtain. The 54-year-old reality TV star shared an emotional video on Instagram, touching on her recent split from her estranged husband, Aaron Phipers.

“I just wanted to check in and see how your summer’s been,” she said candidly. “Mine was… well, to be honest, it’s been a rough one, but I’m trying to stay positive.”

Richards, who is known for her time on “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” disclosed that while they may appear fine online, both she and Phipers are grappling with heartache behind closed doors. “I’ve been posting on social media to keep up appearances, but obviously, something’s going on that I just can’t keep pretending about anymore,” she explained.

The couple ended their six-year marriage in July, but Richards didn’t mention Phipers by name during her video. She acknowledged the flood of messages from fans, saying, “I see all your support, but I can’t respond because it often gets misinterpreted in the press. This is truly a very, very difficult time for me. Going through a divorce is no easy feat.”

Reflecting on her past, Richards noted her split from Charlie Sheen in 2006, admitting she never thought she’d find herself in a similar situation again. “A lot of you can relate. This isn’t my first go-around with divorce, and I honestly never expected to do this again,” she mentioned, sounding somewhat surprised by her circumstances.

Thanking her fans for their ongoing support, she hinted that there’s more to her story. “There are complexities around my divorce that are tough to talk about. I promise I’ll share when the time feels right,” she added.

Richards opened up about her health as well, confirming she has undergone multiple surgeries recently. “Some of you might have heard I was having some reconstructive surgery. I had to stay open about it, but there were other aspects I chose not to share for personal reasons,” she explained.

She concluded her heartfelt message, sharing her desire to keep living life openly. “I want to continue posting updates about my life. Your messages mean a lot to me and help get me through,” she stated.

Phipers filed for divorce from Richards on July 7, citing July 4 as their separation date, quoting irreconcilable differences without children involved. The couple had married in 2018.
