Aaron Lewis, the frontman of Staind, expresses his disillusionment with Bruce Springsteen, calling out the deep hypocrisy he sees in the rock icon.

During his appearance on Tucker Carlson’s podcast, Lewis, who has transitioned into a successful country artist, openly shared his disappointment about Springsteen, whom he once viewed as a champion for the working class.

Carlson inquired about Lewis’s thoughts on the “Born in the USA” singer, and Lewis didn’t hold back. His words were clear, yet carried an emotional weight.

Lewis criticized Springsteen, stating, “I think it’s disgraceful how he fails to recognize his own privilege.”

He added, “He fooled us all. I used to call ‘Born in the USA’ one of the most anti-American songs, ironically celebrating the values of being born in America.”

Lewis mentioned that he “hadn’t paid attention for a while” and felt “angry” for having believed Springsteen’s narrative.

He reflected on his past perception of Springsteen as a representative of blue-collar America, expressing disappointment that Springsteen seemed to have “forgotten his roots” and lost touch with the realities of everyday life. “It’s easy to have an anti-American stance when you’re wealthy and privileged,” he remarked.

“He’s just out of touch with the struggles,” Lewis concluded.

Lewis also discussed how affluent left-leaning figures like Springsteen contribute to misleading views about America by promoting division rather than unity. He pointed out, “Democrats and Communists thrive on chaos to maintain power.”

“It’s not accidental. It’s intentional,” he said regarding the left’s tactics, emphasizing that a united front would undermine their ability to exploit division.

In a different segment, Lewis criticized the current state of the music industry, lamenting the control exerted by record labels. He pointed out how many labels engage in “360 deals,” which take a cut from all revenue streams connected to artists.

He explained, “Young artists are now sharing the pie in a way that heavily favors the labels.” These contracts allow labels to benefit financially from merchandise, performances, and other income sources.
