Concerns About Teacher Qualifications

There’s a growing issue where many educators struggle to pass basic civic and literacy assessments, yet they hold the responsibility of shaping future generations.

In light of this, some teachers have partnered with Pragel, an education group associated with Oklahoma’s public leadership supervisor Ryan Walters. Their goal is to roll out new tests for teachers migrating from states like California and New York, aiming to combat what they term “woke indoctrination.”

This initiative might eventually extend to educators from eight other Democratic-leaning states, with the tests designed to identify those who might teach distorted views of biology influenced by LGBTQ+ ideologies.

Walters reached out for support, noting complaints from parents who express concern about teachers from California and New York bringing these “awakened” ideas into their classrooms.

During a discussion on these tests, Glenn expressed disbelief at some of the questions being proposed.

For instance, he shared a sample question: “What are the primary biological differences between men and women? A. Height and weight, B. Hairstyle, C. Personal preference, D. Chromosomes and reproductive anatomy.” He seemed taken aback at the complexity of such a question.

His colleague, Stu, interjected, commenting on another question regarding how biological sex is ascertained at birth. The options included visual observations and chromosomes, while he suggested left-leaning individuals might misinterpret this.

Glenn concluded with an observation that any teacher deeply influenced by such ideologies might struggle with these questions, stating the difficulty arises when facts diverge from personal beliefs.
