Paxton Endorses Raitz for Texas Attorney General

Chip Roy, a Texas representative, has also announced his candidacy for the Attorney General position, intending to replace Paxton. Roy, who heads the House Freedom Caucus, switched his focus from the U.S. House of Representatives to this new race. He stated his pride in combating President Trump’s agenda while acknowledging the need for change.

Roy described the current situation in Texas as being under attack from various forces that threaten the state’s sovereignty and way of life. His commitment is to fight for the rights of Texans and oppose what he sees as radical influences “backed by Soros-funded judges.”

Meanwhile, Raitz has made it clear that he remains in the race and welcomed Paxton’s endorsement, highlighting his dedication to continuing Paxton’s legacy in the Attorney General’s office. Interestingly, while there is camaraderie among candidates, there’s also competition. Senator Ted Cruz, for example, has endorsed Roy, calling him his best ally and a close friend for over a decade.
