Wrestler Attacked by UFC Star’s Son During Event
The professional wrestler who was brutally assaulted in the ring by Quinton “Rampage” Jackson’s son may not have been expected to be so severely injured.
Stuart Smith, also known as Syko Stu, was attacked during a private wrestling event at Knokx Pro Academy. Raja Jackson, who trained Smith, punched him more than 20 times while he lay on the mat.
Initially, it seemed Smith was recovering well, according to a report by TMZ. Jackson took to social media, saying, “I want to address any misinformation about my son Raja. I woke up and checked on the wrestler (Stuart Smith, aka Syko Stu) to ensure he’s stable.”
However, the situation might be more serious than first thought.
Smith’s brother, Andrew, mentioned on Facebook that Stuart is now “stable, but in critical care.” He expressed gratitude for the prayers and support, urging continued thoughts for his brother.
Furthermore, Andrew clarified that there is no GoFundMe account set up, which contradicts initial reports.
Friend Jonovan Smith shared updates on Facebook as well, saying Stuart isn’t doing as well as hoped. “It hurts to see him like this,” Jonovan commented alongside a photo of Stuart in the hospital. “I believe Knox Pro is responsible for allowing this to happen. Honestly, I’m upset.”
Before the incident in the ring, there was a noticeable argument outside the venue. In a seemingly scripted moment, Smith hit Jackson with a beer. They later appeared to discuss compensation on a livestream.
Knokx Pro condemned Jackson’s actions, labeling Smith’s situation as a result of “selfish and irresponsible acts of violence.”
As of now, Raja Jackson has not publicly commented on the incident.
