John Bolton criticizes Trump's unclear Ukraine strategy in his initial remarks after returning to his home searched by the FBI.

John Bolton, the former national security adviser under Trump, has spoken out for the first time after the FBI’s raid on his home last Friday.

In a series of posts on X, Bolton criticized the president’s foreign policy once again, describing the FBI’s search as “coherent” but also raising questions about Trump’s strategy toward Ukraine.

“Donald Trump’s current Ukrainian policy doesn’t seem as solid as it did when his administration executed a search warrant at my residence and workplace,” Bolton stated Tuesday morning. “In the wake of chaos and urgency, Trump’s negotiations could be nearing their end, much like his campaign for a Nobel Peace Prize,” he added.

Bolton referenced an opinion piece he wrote titled “Fully Inconsistent Ukraine Strategy,” published by the Washington Examiner on Monday.

He expressed skepticism about Trump’s efforts to obscure confusion through social media, drawing an unusual comparison between Russian President Vladimir Putin and former President Richard Nixon, particularly regarding Nixon’s infamous kitchen debate with Nikita Khrushchev. “I don’t quite get why Trump would want to be likened to a president who resigned in disgrace,” Bolton remarked.

Moreover, he emphasized that “bilateral relations have significantly suffered due to the fallout from ineffective diplomacy.”

“As time goes on, India’s indecision seems to be straining the relationship between New Delhi and Washington even further,” he concluded.
