Quentin “Rampage” Jackson is facing backlash due to his son’s troubling behavior.
His son, Raja, has been accused of severely assaulting professional wrestler Stuart Smith, which resulted in Smith being hospitalized. In a conversation with TMZ Sports, Jackson revealed he’s received racist messages online due to this incident.
“I’ve received numerous death threats from racists,” Jackson commented. “They call me a terrible father. It’s quite disheartening.”
Jackson expressed frustration, stating that his words are often misinterpreted.
Following the incident, he addressed his son’s actions, explaining that Raja had recently suffered a concussion and shouldn’t have participated in the event.
“I want to clarify the misinformation regarding my son. The wrestler, Stuart Smith, has regained consciousness and is stable,” Jackson posted on X. “Raja was unexpectedly hit on the side of the head just before the match. I thought it was all part of the entertainment. Clearly, that was poor judgment.”
He highlighted that Raja is an MMA fighter, not a professional wrestler, and emphasized that he does not condone his son’s behavior. Raja had been recovering from a concussion incurred a few days prior. Jackson issued an apology on Raja’s behalf after the situation unfolded.
The situation appears to have escalated regarding Smith’s health.
The Los Angeles Police Department is currently investigating.
A new video surfaced on Tuesday, capturing Raja immediately following the altercation.
“I’m fed up with this nonsense,” he can be heard saying. “I’m always being disrespected. I’m not playing around anymore. I’m done with this.”
