Trump Backs Cracker Barrel’s Original Logo Decision
President Donald Trump recently applauded Cracker Barrel for reverting to its original logo following significant public criticism of its rebranding efforts.
On Tuesday, the restaurant chain made it clear that they would abandon the new branding, expressing gratitude to customers for voicing their opinions.
“We appreciate our guests for sharing your thoughts and love for Cracker Barrel. We said we would listen,” the company stated.
They further emphasized their commitment to providing “delicious food, warm welcomes, and country hospitality that feels like family.”
In response, Trump congratulated Cracker Barrel on Truth Social.
“Congratulations. The Cracker Barrel has restored its logo. All the fans are very thankful. Best wishes for the future—make lots of money and, importantly, bring joy to your customers again!” he wrote.
After the company indicated it would keep the original logo, Trump commented on the redesign, referring to it as “unvibrant, boring, and lacking character.” He urged the restaurant to recognize its mistakes based on customer feedback.
“Cracker Barrel needs to revert to the old logo and acknowledge the customer response, which is the ultimate poll. They have a significant advertising opportunity if they handle this right. Good luck!” he added.
As reported, the redesign was part of a more extensive $700 million initiative aimed at updating restaurant interiors and introducing new menu items.
In a prior interview with ABC News, Cracker Barrel CEO Julie Fels Masino defended the rebranding efforts by stating, “I like what we’re doing. Cracker Barrels need to feel like a Cracker Barrel for today and tomorrow.”
