Travis Kelce’s Home School Celebrates Engagement to Taylor Swift
It seems like everyone is buzzing about Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s big engagement. In fact, the University of Cincinnati, where Kelce played college football, is marking this exciting news with special ticket offers for upcoming Bearcats games.
On their athletics account on X, they shared, “Writing my love story for this season at Nippert Stadium.” They’re selling a limited number of tickets to the games against Northwestern State and UCF for just $13 each, along with a few season tickets priced at $87.
Interestingly, Kelce wears number 87 on his jersey for the Chiefs, while 13 is known as Swift’s “lucky number.” This coincidence adds a fun twist!
In a neat turn of events, the engagement was announced just 13 days after Swift featured as a guest on Kelce’s podcast, “New Heights,” which he co-hosts with his brother Jason, a former center for the Philadelphia Eagles. Swift has always expressed her fascination with numerology and dates, saying, “I love math stuff, I really enjoy it.”
As the NFL’s cut day approached, the sports world mainly focused on news about Kelce, making headlines and drawing attention.
Mike Danna, a defensive player for the Chiefs, was one of the first to comment publicly, expressing his surprise. “It’s shocking to be the first to hear about it when I hadn’t even considered it,” he remarked.

Danna added, “It’s beautiful to see them finding joy and love. I think it’s just wonderful.” The couple went public with their relationship in the fall of 2023 after some Pro Bowl players attended one of Swift’s “ERAS Tour” concerts. Before that, there had been a playful attempt to get Swift’s attention with the song “You Belong with Me.”
Swift noted in the podcast, “Travis turned his platform into a personal dating app two years ago. I’m really happy it worked out.”
