Bruce Willis resides in his other home while dealing with dementia, according to his wife Emma Heming.

Emma Heming, Bruce Willis’ wife, has made a tough choice to relocate the actor to a different home as he deals with dementia.

In a recent appearance on “Emma and Bruce Willis: An Unexpected Journey – Diane Sawyer Special,” she explained that “Bruce would want that from our daughters,” referring to their children Mabel and 11-year-old Evelyn.

She emphasized that it was essential for him to be in a place that meets their needs, rather than his own, which I suppose makes sense, given everything.

She noted that their daughters are visiting the 70-year-old actor in his new home.

Heming takes Mabel and Evelyn for breakfast and dinner, maintaining family connections.

The “Die Hard” star, now 34 and 31, shares parenting duties with his ex-wife Demi Moore, while receiving full-time care.

Heming mentioned that Bruce would indeed wish for this arrangement for his daughters’ wellbeing.

With Mabel and Evelyn being 13 and 11, respectively, it’s clear that family remains a priority.

During the promotion of her upcoming memoir “Unexpected Journey: Finding Strength, Hope and Self in the Path of Caregiving,” slated for release on September 9th, Heming shared insights into Willis’ health challenges. The memoir details his struggles, especially after he retired from acting in 2022 due to an aphasia diagnosis.

This condition affects a person’s ability to communicate, including understanding and expressing language, as outlined by sources like the Mayo Clinic.

After being diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia the following year, a condition that includes issues with language and behavioral changes, Heming stated that the family has found “different ways” to communicate with him as his language skills decline.

In a rare update, she said, “Bruce is still very mobile… the only thing he’s failing is his brain.” It’s bittersweet, isn’t it?

She seemed quite emotional during her conversation with Sawyer, admitting it’s “difficult” to see her husband in this situation.

“He has a heartfelt laugh,” she shared. “You may catch a glimpse of his eyes or a smirk, and it just carries me.” There’s something so poignant about that.

The couple began dating in 2007, married in 2009, and renewed their vows a decade later, solidifying their bond even more.
