This week, a video went viral, showing a young girl brandishing a large knife, allegedly in an encounter involving immigrants.
The footage garnered over 20 million views, leading Scottish police to arrest the girl in St. Unlane, Dundee, Scotland, claiming she had a “blade weapon.”
Reports emerged that she and her sister confronted a Muslim man. In the video, the girls could be heard shouting, “Please don’t touch us,” and “Take f**k away from us.”
Now, Police Scotland has hinted at the girl’s responsibility and revealed the nationalities of the individuals involved.
“The 12-year-old girl is accused of carrying an offensive weapon,” the police stated.
In a statement, Prime Minister Nicola Russell mentioned that police are aware of the misinformation circulating on social media.
The misinformation stemmed from an incident where a Bulgarian couple was allegedly approached by a young man in Dundee on August 23, 2025.
Initially reported as 14 years old, the police clarified she is actually 12.
“The girl is accused of possessing an offensive weapon. She has been referred to the relevant authorities,” the statement added. They also thanked the community for their assistance in the ongoing investigation and cautioned against speculating or spreading false information.
Police Scotland had earlier communicated that an “adult” was arrested or charged in connection with the same incident.
The controversial footage originated from the Rochee area in Scotland, noted as one of the most impoverished regions.
Content creator Robin Alderslow supported the observations in a comment, saying, “There’s a lot of violence in this type of environment, and I’ve seen weapons like this in use.”
Elon Musk weighed in on the situation, expressing his intention to support legal action against what he described as “corrupted officials” who allegedly enabled “UK rape.”
Another commentator, Lewis Blackpool, reiterated concerns about multiculturalism, questioning when it had been recognized as a failure.
