This year’s US Open sees Adidas introduce the Y-3 brand, featuring athletes like Jessica Pegula, Karolina Muchova, Stefanos Tsitsipas, and Alexander Zverev.
The Y-3 line, a partnership between Adidas and Japanese designer Yohji Yamamoto, unveiled its US Open collection on August 16th. It comprises 18 items, including sleeveless women’s tank tops, tennis shorts, dresses, and men’s t-shirts and shorts.

The Y-3 collection stands out as one of the highlights at the tournament, with red being the event’s prominent color.
Notable players sporting red include Naomi Osaka, Coco Gauff, Emma Raducanu, Victoria Mboko, Alexandra Eala, Jannik Sinner, Marta Kostyuk, and Frances Tiafoe.
“It’s just the color of the tournament,” Raducanu remarked after her victory against Janice Tien in the second round. “Sure, plenty of brands have red as well, but I really enjoy wearing it. I guess it suits me pretty well.”
The day’s upset
On Wednesday, Rafael Corignon pulled off a significant win, defeating sixth-seed Casper Ruud 6-4, 3-6, 3-6, 6-4, 7-5 on Court 17. This marks a career highlight for the young Belgian.
“I think this is the best day of my life,” the 23-year-old shared in an interview on the court.
This victory over the 2022 US Open finalist Ruud is Corignon’s first win against a top 20 player. Despite both players making 35 unforced errors, Ruud exited in the second round of his third Grand Slam tournament this season.
