RFK Really Went Through With It. I’ll Be the First to Say: Good Riddance.

Below is State of the Day, a morning newsletter that aims to cut through the clutter of national politics and present it in a straightforward manner.

Don’t forget to share this widely.

So, RFK Jr. continues to take jabs at “experts,” and honestly, it’s a bit amusing.

Good riddance!

Dr. Demetre Daskalakis from the CDC has recently made headlines with his resignation letter, using the term “expert” several times and mentioning “science” multiple times as well. One of his statements even linked “science” to “reality.” He suggested that services can’t be provided in an environment that doesn’t reflect the CDC’s principles and that some policies might be harming people’s health.

He went on to say that recent adjustments to vaccination schedules pose a risk to the youngest members of our population, including pregnant individuals.

His closing comments were rather personal: “From the heart, Demetre C. Daskalakis MD MPH (he/him).” It makes one wonder if he really understands the “scientific reality” he talks about.

Good riddance!

If you happen to turn on the TV today, you’ll likely catch the usual propaganda surrounding RFK Jr. They’ll probably call for removing the Advisory Committee on Vaccination Practices from the CDC, alongside terms like “antivax” and “conspiracy theories.”

Chase has cut through the noise: ACIP heads have avoided recommending vaccinations for kids and pregnant people against the Wuhan virus. It’s important to note that there’s no evidence suggesting these cohorts should be vaccinated unless they have significant health issues.

Interestingly, officials wanted to recommend the vaccine for their own six-month-old children. RFK Jr. didn’t push for it, citing a lack of evidence supporting the need. It’s curious, right? The CDC aims to control these narratives.

CDC director Susan Monares has been caught in the crossfire, and, well, the Trump administration had some choice words for her. Initially trying to distance herself from issues, her attorney claimed she wasn’t fired, but the White House ended up confirming otherwise.

RFK Jr. argues that health officials recommend ineffective vaccines, pressing for substantial changes. In a throwback, the CDC had plans to purchase a hefty $1.8 billion worth of “child” Covid vaccines, even as their data shows healthy children under 17 don’t need them.

The question looms: Why the frenzy? Is the end of lucrative contracts in sight?

Let’s take a moment to evaluate these so-called “experts.”

In summary, good riddance!

What I’m reading

It seems like Democrats are having a tough time swallowing some harsh truths. Scott Jennings could be their guide through these uncomfortable revelations.

After Scott Jennings calls her out, CNN’s host struggles.

If you’re hunting for scientific reality, CNN isn’t the place.

Media outlets are reporting that Catholic school shooters identify using preferred pronouns.

It’s a wild situation, yet there’s a sense of humor in it. Here’s hoping things change.
