Stephen King Responds to Minneapolis Catholic School Shooting
Stephen King, the well-known Hollywood producer and advocate for gun control, weighed in on the recent shooting at a Minneapolis Catholic school. He emphasized that the conversation should focus on gun issues rather than the shooter’s transgender identity.
In a couple of posts on X, King addressed Elon Musk’s assertion that the shooter’s gender identity supports a broader narrative. King seemed to argue against this point in his first tweet.
Shortly after that, he responded to Matt Walsh’s critical comments about transgender individuals.
It’s important to clarify that the shooter, who reportedly killed two children and injured 17 others, was confirmed to be transgender. A senior official noted that the shooter changed their name from “Robert” to “Robin” at 17 and later identified as female.
The shooter had outlined intentions for the attack in a video, expressing some troubling sentiments.
Breitbart highlighted a related incident where a transgender woman was involved in a school shooting in Nashville, which resulted in six fatalities.
In a different report from December 2018, the Metropolitan Police Department in Nashville mentioned that a transgender individual had planned an attack on Creswell Middle School, citing various reasons for their choice of target.
More recently, another transgender suspect was arrested in connection with a double homicide in Washington City, having changed their name legally shortly before the incident.
King’s stance remains clear: he believes the focus should be on gun control, rather than pointing fingers at transgender identity.
