The widow of Hulk Hogan is considering a medical malpractice lawsuit after the unexpected passing of the WWE superstar last month. A report from the Daily Mail mentions this possibility.
If the lawsuit proceeds, it may be linked to the neck surgery Hogan underwent back in May. Skye, Hogan’s wife, shared her thoughts with the Daily Mail, saying, “We’re investigating medical malpractice. Being out of breath for an extended period can be quite debilitating. It’s really not the type of cause that leads to a sudden death; it wears you down.”
About a week later, Hogan’s condition was discussed in an interview with TMZ Sports, which mentioned that his phrenic nerves—critical for controlling the diaphragm—were compromised during that surgery.
Hogan, whose real name was Terry Borea, died on July 24 at the age of 71. The Pinellas County Forensic Center confirmed he suffered a heart attack. Reports indicate that Hogan had a history of irregular heartbeat and chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), which impacts white blood cells.
New developments have emerged regarding his death, as TMZ Sports revealed there was an occupational therapist present in his Clearwater home when he stopped breathing. This therapist alleged to police that the surgeon had damaged Hogan’s phrenic nerve during surgery.
Skye Daily, who married Hogan in 2023, mentioned to TMZ Sports that while autopsies were conducted, the findings weren’t disclosed. “I wasn’t prepared for this, and my heart is shattered,” she expressed on Instagram after Hogan’s death. “He had some health challenges, and we genuinely believed we could get through them. I was so confident in his resilience; I thought we had more time.”
Before marrying Daily, Hogan was previously wed to Linda Hogan from 1983 to 2009, and then married Jennifer McDaniel in 2010, a marriage that ended in divorce in 2022. Linda and Hulk shared two children, Nick, 35, and Brooke, 37, but had become estranged in recent years.
In a recent conversation with Joseph Stassys in the Post, Nick Hogan recounted how the family rallied around their father during his final days. “We all tried to come together and support him, searching for the best way for his recovery. Unfortunately, it wasn’t an easy journey, not at all,” he reflected.
