Former NFL Player Arrested in Georgia

Darryl Skrine, a former NFL cornerback, was arrested on Wednesday by the Roswell Police Department in Georgia, as per a press release from the department.

Skrine allegedly exploited several women he connected with through a dating app, reportedly earning over $300,000 in the process. Following these activities, he now faces more than a dozen charges, including deposit account fraud and identity fraud. The investigation began in July and indicated that he used the money to fund a lavish lifestyle.

According to the press release, detectives executed a search and arrest warrant at a residence linked to Skrine on Pine Grove Rd. in Roswell, leading to his safe capture. In total, he is facing 18 charges.

The press release also pointed out that among Skrine’s alleged victims are individuals from Wisconsin, North Carolina, and New York. Authorities believe that the number of reported cases might increase.

Additionally, in August 2023, Skrine was arrested in Canada due to check fraud exceeding $100,000. It’s reported that he removed a court-ordered GPS tracker before returning to the United States.

The Roswell Police Department coordinated with the Durham Regional Police Service in Canada throughout the investigation, which includes all claims made in both countries.
