Spencer Pratt cleverly mocks LA’s liberal leaders with a funny City Hall prank

An anti-Karen Bass video has recently gained traction online and is now being showcased in downtown Los Angeles. This stunt might stand out as one of the boldest political moves in the recently turbulent mayoral race.

On Tuesday, two large billboard trucks drove around City Hall for several hours displaying the provocative message, “Spencer, take out the garbage.” This slogan is part of Spencer Pratt’s rapidly expanding online political effort.

The phrase cleverly plays on the Spanish word “basura,” meaning trash, targeting Mayor Bass and her administration.

Supporters of this campaign are utilizing this catchphrase to depict City Hall as corrupt and bloated, suffering from issues like homelessness, rising crime rates, and declining city services.

The trucks cruised around government buildings and downtown hotspots, featuring visuals linked to the viral campaign that has spread across platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and X.

The campaign’s videos employ a mix of aggressive, internet-style messaging with AI-generated visuals, animations, and scathing critiques of City Hall’s leadership.

Some clips illustrate a grim view of a deteriorating Los Angeles—showcasing homelessness, graffiti, litter, and crime—while Pratt is framed as an outsider ready to clean up the mess.

The video’s release sparked considerable online buzz, rapidly shifting Pratt’s image from a reality TV star to one of the most discussed politicians in Los Angeles.

Pratt’s campaign centers on criticizing what he has termed the “homeless industrial complex,” pointing fingers at officials for spending significant taxpayer money on anti-homelessness initiatives while homelessness and disorder continue to escalate.

Interestingly, Pratt mentioned on Tuesday that the ad doesn’t directly connect to his campaign.
